Privacy policy

TalentMaps (operated by TalentMaps Ltd) helps recruitment agencies build talent maps from LinkedIn profiles. We act as a data processor on behalf of our customers, the recruitment agencies that use our platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal data in connection with our services.

Account data. When you sign up, we collect your name, work email address, and the name of your agency or organisation. This is necessary to create and manage your account.

Profile data you submit. You paste LinkedIn URLs into the platform. We use a third-party enrichment API to retrieve publicly available LinkedIn profile information associated with those URLs, including name, headline, work history, education, skills, and location.

Usage data. We collect information about how you use the platform: pages visited, features used, credits consumed, and timestamps of key actions.

Payment data. Payments are processed by our payment provider. We do not store card numbers or full payment details on our systems.

We only retrieve data from public LinkedIn profiles. We do not access non-public or private profile information, and we are not affiliated with LinkedIn Corporation.

Profile enrichment is a point-in-time snapshot stored within shared platform infrastructure. Database access is limited to organisations whose projects or recorded enrichment activity reference the profile. We do not sell profile data.

The editor displays when a profile was last refreshed. Freshness guidance treats data under 21 days old as current, suggests a refresh soon from 21–29 days, and recommends a refresh at 30 days or older. Refreshing is a customer-controlled action; reaching 30 days does not delete a profile from an historical project.

We process LinkedIn profile data to provide the platform service, including through infrastructure and service providers needed for enrichment, storage, image delivery, and customer-requested report features.

Platform operations. We use your data to enrich profiles, generate reports, store your projects, and provide the core TalentMaps service.

Billing and account management. Account data is used to manage your subscription, process payments, and communicate important account information.

Product improvement. We analyse aggregated, anonymised usage patterns to improve the platform. We do not use individual profile data for this purpose.

Customer support. We may access your account data when you contact us for support, solely to resolve your issue.

Account and project data is retained while the account is active. Historical project records remain available until the customer deletes them or asks us to delete the associated account data.

LinkedIn profile data attached to a project is retained with that project. Its enrichment timestamp remains visible so recruiters can judge freshness and choose when to refresh it; older profiles are not silently removed.

Generated reports and operational records may be retained with the account and its projects. Contact privacy@talentmaps.app for a deletion request or a retention question about specific data.

Depending on your location, you may have rights including the right to access, rectify, erase, and port your personal data; the right to restrict or object to processing; and the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

CCPA. California residents may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal data we have collected, the purposes for which it is used, and the categories of third parties with whom it is shared. You may also request deletion of your personal data. We do not sell personal data.

Session cookies. We use session cookies that are strictly necessary for authentication and maintaining your logged-in state. These cannot be disabled without breaking core platform functionality.

Analytics. We use privacy-preserving analytics that do not fingerprint individual users or use third-party advertising cookies. No personal data is shared with ad networks.

Browser traffic is served over HTTPS, and managed infrastructure providers supply encryption for stored data.

TalentMaps uses Supabase and Vercel infrastructure. Certifications held by those providers apply to their services and do not certify TalentMaps itself.
